Mark writes : - "My name is Mark "AJ" Williams.  The AJ is for "American in Japan."  AJ is my nickname as a member of VROC  , membership number #943.

This is my 1997 Kawasaki Vulcan 800 Classic, affectionately named Ka-chan.  The "Ka" is for Kawasaki.  Chan is a tag used in Japanese.  It is put at the end of a girl or young woman's name to show affection.  For example, if a girl is named Miki, while she is growing up and up to around 25 or so, people who know her well will likely call her Miki-chan.

Cruising in Japan is great!  The people are friendly, the roads are pristine and, where I live, you have a lot of wonderful choices of riding areas.  We've got it all - coastal highways, great mountain twisties with lots of looooooooooooooooooooong tunnels and wide open spaces."
