Disability Modifications

Disability Modifications last updated 21/01/04

Mods carried out Saturday 21/01/02

As mentioned previously, I have had a modification carried out to allow me to operate the rear brake on my GSX more easily.

The simplest, and cheapest method was recommended on the NABD site, (National Association for Bikers with a Disability).  That was to refit the O/S footpeg to allow me to use the rear brake as a heel brake.  I had this mod carried out at Boom Trikes at Bolton, who did a very professional job that looks like it was done in the factory.

It takes a little of the ground clearance away, but the bike is now incredibly comfortable, even though the left peg has been unmodified.

Take a look at the photos, and if you need any work of this type carried out, speak to Ian or Antony at Boom.
